It has been discovered that Dzaan the Red , the notorious red wizard and ex member of the Arcane Brotherhood, had actually managed to clone himself (Dzaan had used a spell scroll of simulacrum to create a copy of himself).
Dzaan’s bodyguard is a Thayan wight named Krintaas. When Dzaan returned to Easthaven, he ordered his companion to stay with the clone and watch over it and the buried Netherese spire.
His unexpected discovery trapped in the sub-basement level of the Netheril Spire, unaware of his original copy’s demise, was somewhat surprising. An attempt to permanently convert the simulacrum into a real boy backfired destroyed the simulacrum.
